Ekvio

Terms of Use

Updated 17 September 2026Version 2026-09-17

These terms govern the use of the website at https://ekvio.cz (the “website”). By using the website you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use the website. The platform behind the “Sign in” button and the pilot programme are governed by separate contractual terms, which you will not find here.

1. Operator

The website is operated by the operator of the Ekvio website, e-mail jakub@ekvio.cz (“we”). Contact: jakub@ekvio.cz.

2. The website is information, not a legal service

The content of the website is general information about the amendment to the Czech Labour Code, the obligations it places on employers, and our product. It is not legal or tax advice, and we do not provide legal services within the meaning of the Czech Act on the Legal Profession. Before you make a decision about pay in your company based on anything on this website, consult a lawyer, a payroll accountant or another professional who knows your situation.

Statements about the law on the website describe the state of affairs on the date shown next to them. The amendment the website is about is going through the legislative process and its wording may change before it takes effect; the Amendment status page says what stage it is at and when we last checked. The website says what the amendment, in its current wording, requires — it does not claim to ensure that you meet it.

3. The calculator is an estimate

The calculator on the home page shows an estimate of the time and cost of preparing the documents yourself. It follows a model with assumptions listed next to it (“How we count”); the actual effort in your company may differ. The result is not an offer, a quotation or a promise of savings. We are not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of this estimate.

4. Product and price information is not an offer

Descriptions of the product, its deliverables and prices on the website are informational. They are not an offer to conclude a contract within the meaning of Section 1732(2) of the Czech Civil Code and do not oblige us to enter into a contract. We always conclude contracts in writing, after agreeing the scope, price and data processing terms. Prices on the website, where shown, exclude VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.

5. Forms

The forms on the website exist so that you can contact us. Please enter truthful information and act only for yourself or for a company you are authorised to represent. The forms are not intended for automated submission; we limit the number of submissions from one address and need not respond to submissions that show signs of abuse. How we handle form data is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. What you may take from the website

The texts, diagrams, sample documents, sample company data, product name and logo, and the arrangement of the website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link, share links to its pages, and use the content for your own internal purposes when deciding about our product. You may not, without our written consent, copy whole pages or substantial parts of them, use the content commercially, remove attribution, or present it as your own.

The sample company, its job positions, job groups and figures shown in the document previews and the diagram are fictional. They do not correspond to any real company and do not serve as a model for your own assessment.

7. Links to other websites

The website links to third-party sites — authorities, legislation, service providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability or handling of personal data; they are governed by their own terms.

8. Availability and changes to the website

We may change, extend, restrict or discontinue the website at any time. We aim to keep it running continuously but do not warrant its availability or freedom from errors. The website requires no registration or login and you store nothing in it.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage arising from the use of the website or from reliance on its content — in particular for pay decisions made without professional consultation, for damage caused by the website being unavailable, or for the content of third-party websites we link to. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under the Czech Civil Code (in particular for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for harm to a person's natural rights).

10. Governing law

These terms and the use of the website are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are decided by Czech courts. If you use the website as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected; the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.gov.cz) is competent for out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes.

11. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms; the version published on this page at the time you use the website applies. The version is shown in the page header. Previous versions are available on request.

These terms take effect on 10 September 2026.
